CONSULTING SERVICES

The Government of Jamaica, through the Public Sector Transformation Unit (PSTU) of the Cabinet Office has received financing from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for consulting services to provide assistance with the Rationalisation of the Science Technology and Innovation (STI) infrastructure in the Jamaican Public Sector and the Development of a STI Strategic Roadmap.
The main objective of the consultancy is to establish an efficient, responsive and cost effective framework of operations for the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Public Sector entities consistent with good governance, in order to promote national growth and development as articulated in the Vision 2030 Jamaica, National Development Plan. This project will be spearheaded by the Scientific Research Council, an agency of the Ministry of Industry, Investment & Commerce.
Required Qualifications and Experience
a) A minimum of a Master of Science degree in Natural Sciences with Social Sciences, or Development Economics.
b) A proven track record in developing STI Plans for developing countries.
c) Extensive knowledge of research methods and statistical analysis.
d) A good understanding of organizational development and management.
e) Good interpersonal skills
